In Women Rise, I have met women who made the courageous choice to rise above their personal struggles in life. They are women who chose resilience over weakness, growth over indecision, and perseverance over reluctance. Their stories, strength, and determination have been a powerful reminder that no matter what challenges we face, we always have the choice to keep going, to keep believing, and to keep rising.

As a cancer patient, Women Rise became more than just a community to me—it became a place of hope, healing, and inspiration. In moments when life felt uncertain and difficult, this community gave me encouragement and reminded me that I am not alone in my journey. It became a safe space where I felt seen, valued, and understood, and where I could draw strength not only from my own faith and courage, but also from the women around me.

In Women Rise, we experience genuine friendship, teamwork, and respect. It is a space where women uplift one another, celebrate each other’s victories, and offer comfort during difficult times. Here, we do not only learn about our worth and value as women—we truly experience it through the way we support, honor, and empower one another.

Women Rise has shown me the beauty of sisterhood and the power of standing together. It reminded me that even in the face of pain, fear, and uncertainty, there is still so much room for hope, purpose, and joy. As we value one another and continue to encourage each other, we do not simply rise as individuals—we rise together.

Women Rise has truly helped me grow in so many ways and has allowed me to see life from a more positive, empowered, and hopeful perspective. I am a teacher by profession, a role that once defined my daily life and purpose. However, I made the heartfelt decision to step away from my career to focus on raising my two children. It was a choice made out of love, and one that I will never regret. Today, I am proud to say that they have grown into successful professionals, now married, and I am blessed to be a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren. Yet, as life shifted and my children built families of their own, I found myself living alone. The silence that filled my days was not easy to bear. Struggles slowly crept in—loneliness, anxiety, and eventually depression. It was a difficult chapter, one that led to my diagnosis and my journey as a differently abled person. But in the midst of that darkness, I found light. It all began when I became part of a PWD organization. There, I met people who understood my struggles and reminded me that I was not alone. Then, something beautiful happened—our PWD President initiated a women’s organization, and from that moment, everything began to change for me. That organization became my refuge. It became my strength. Through Women RISE, I discovered a community that uplifted me, encouraged me, and believed in me even when I struggled to believe in myself. It created a strong bond—a shield that protected and empowered me. I was continuously inspired to embrace my strengths and work on my weaknesses, without fear or judgment. Today, I proudly call Women RISE my second family. The friendships we’ve built, the camaraderie we share, and the joy we experience whenever we gather—it’s more than just meetings; it’s a celebration of resilience, growth, and sisterhood. Every moment spent together is filled with laughter, encouragement, and genuine connection. My journey has not been easy, but it has been meaningful. And now, I stand stronger—not just for myself, but for others who may be going through the same struggles.
